Hi,

like the subject already explains: Does anyone know how to schedule a job on server B (= BI server) that only starts after the successful end of a job on a different server A (= ERP server).

With the default scheduler (SM36) this is not possible - but you can use the external Redwood scheduler, which is free of charge if you have a Netweaver license.

Hi,

If you don't have an external scheduler and can do a little programming, it's also possible to add a step to generate an event on the BI server. The start condition on the BI server would be the event.

Before buying CPS, we used this technique a lot and it works great.

Hi,

If you wanted to co-ordinate jobs across systems in the landscape then you need central job scheduler and monitor tools like Redwood(Now SAP product), Control-m, Maestro....

You can configure redwood since you already had NW product (BI&portal).

Hi

You need to have external scheduler for this activity. This type of criteria is not supported by standard SAP installation. Get redwood, control-m, etc there are numerous softwares available.

Cheers!
