Excluding fields and values through mdm components

Hi All,

Is it possible to exclude the fields and value through mdm components for example data manager, syndicator etc.

Also I would like to know excluding 2 values in single fields is possible or not?

Below query is not very clear. Please elaborate (preferably with an example).

Are you trying to hide fields and values in data manager and import manager, while they continue to exist in data model?

Hi Kiran,

If the field which you are trying to restrict values in data manager or syndicator for a particular role is single valued lookup field then this can be achieved easily by specify constraint on the look up table for the role using MDM console.

Please check below content from Console reference guide:

Selecting constraints on a lookup table limits the visible record set to only those records that have the selected values in their lookup fields or in their lookup hierarchy. Lookup table constraints limit:

(1) the set of visible main table records;

(2) the set of visible subtable records;

(3) the set of visible lookup table values in the Record Detail tab;

(4) the set of visible lookup values in the search tabs.
