Java SE 1.4.2 SAP no longer available for download

Java SE for Business Development Kit 1.4.2 SAP is no longer available for download at http://java.com/en/javaforbusiness/sap_download.jsp (x64 or any other version).

Does that mean that SAP and Oracle not longer have a support agreement for this?

Hi,

The link http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/SAPsite/download.html workd. I was able to login and further on download the JDK files too.

You can give it a shot. If it still fails, possible reason could be a secure network from where you are accessing the page. Note 941595 can give you more info.

Hi,

Yes I know that http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/SAPsite/download.html used to work, but it does not exist any more and now redirects to http://java.com/en/javaforbusiness/sap_download.jsp.

The 941595 note now actually states the new link, and I have tried download from different networks and it does not work.

Iu2019ve tried everything on different computers, different networks, different Sun Online accounts, different browsers, and even different operating systems (Windows and Linux).

Solution that finally wored was to create new Sun Online account (different e-mail etc.) and after that I was able to dowload.

Looks like the files are still downloadable. I was asked to select platform and further on login for downloading.

In any case, why dont you directly download JDK by looking up in google? Try this link:

Version 1.4.2 supported by SAP for WAS is no more available at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html, and x64 version of it was only available as a special download for SAP WAS use.

After the login prompt you will not be able to download anything no matter what user name and password you use.
