Hi,

In ECC, can ATP check while creating Sales Order; trigger production if stocks are not present. Will ATP check be able to confirm the dates if stock not available.

Also please share what time variables does ATP ceck consider if stock is present ( ex transportation time etc)

Hi

The production order would not be created if ATP check finds out that no stock is available to confirm the order. The production orders would only be created after the MRP run in ECC. Once an order is unconfirmed in SAP due to unavailability of stock etc. the order goes and lies in SAP as a backorder. Backorders need to be processed seperately in standard SAP as and when stock gets available. At the time of ATP check if no stock is there and no production orders are there then the system cannot predict when the stocks would be available. As a result the confirmation would return a 0 quantity and shift the order to a backorder.

The ATP check can determine if in future stocks are expected based on the availability check parameters and checking rule. If in the availability check scope production orders are included then it will be considered to see if availability is there based on the future GR date of the production order.

If stock is present then ATP does the check based on the requested delivery date entered in the sales order. The system calculates back to find out if the stock can be made available on that day by measuring the transportation dates based on the routes. The number of days in the route would be taken into account.

This was helpful, thanks.

Ainindra I am not looking for Production Order.

I am looking for ATP check to trigger Planned Orders creation/simulation before MRP run.

As I can understand yours is a make to order scenario. In this case the actual demand in the form of sales order is getting converted into planned order and production order. Now the planned order can only be created when the MRP run is complete as per standard ECC. The conversion of planned order to production order would be a decision that the production guys have to take. For the case of ATP you can maintain a replenishment lead time such that orders might get confirmed. But to explain without MRP it is impossible to trigger the planned order in standard SAP. You can create a custom program for this and create your planned orders at that point of time. But it is always prudent to schedule a MRP job daily for creating the planned orders automatically.

Thanks

hi

yes stocks will get confirmed but in a future date by considering the SCOPE OF A/C in SPRO; replenish lead time in MMR etc

yes through schedule lines in SD we can create demand and it creates a planned order and it gets converted into a production order which you can see in MD04.

ATP considers only RLT in days whether in house production or external production and time considered to produce the goods.

transportation lead time will be considered by shipping point in Enterprise structure and settings will be there in delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling in SPRO.

hope this clears your issue
