How current numbers are getting updated?

Dear All,

How current numbers are updated in the number ranges?

In SNUM, I will be able to see some numbers updated under "Current Number" column, but not sure how it was updated.

Is it updated automatically by the system or it should be updated manually.

Do explain.

hi raja

it will get updated automatically by a number ranges program behind it.

no need to enter manually

base logic will be: 01 = 1; 11 = 2; 2+1 = 3 - in side the program.

eg: for OR in SNUM you have give number ranges as 01 - 10001 - 20000.

01 will be iidentified by the system with different parameters and updates according to the logic

should be updated manually.

No as and when you generate the respective documents like

a) Excise Invoice for Exports (Object J_1IEXCEXP),

b) Excise Invoice for Domestic (J_1IEXCLOC) etc.,

system will in the background automatically update this field.
