Procedure for increase length 10 to 15 of batchno in MIGO

In MIGO we can write batchno size of 10. Is there any procedure for increase length 15 of batchno in MIGO.

Hello,

Extending standard SAP field sizes is not recommended.

The field is used in a lot of other views, screens, transactions, ...

When you perform an upgrade or implement even a simple Support Package in SAP you risk that SAP puts back the initial field size.

This means that you have to review all screens, views, ... after every Support Package or upgrade.

A better solution is to create a new field that you append to the standard SAP table.

You then need to foresee this extra field on the screen of your transaction.

Extending standard SAP tables, views, ... with extra fields is explained in the SAP online help.

Also how to extend standard SAP screens with new fields is explained.
