In TDSHL, the sender has many more FS than the receiver has

In a TDSHL, we have a sender which has like 100 file systems (mount points).

The receiver has only 12 FS.

How to deal this situation? For sapinst 7.20 there is an "oracle advanced option" for you to assign the FS to the tablespaces to be created. Our sapinst7.01 seems does not have this feature.

Please help.

Thanks!

Is it that your sender system is using old tablespace layout which used to have many tablespaces. The new tablespace layout creates fewer tablespaces.

When you do a system copy it automatically converts from old tablespace layout to new if you use the correct parameter.

Hi,

Adapt the sizes in SAPINST to make the database large enough.

Don't set the initial size of the datafiles too high, but make sure the AUTOEXTEND is on and the max size is sufficiently high. That should do the trick.

Cheers

Change the database schema from SAPR3 to SR3 in tablespace names

Refer to these notes for details -
