Automatic highest BOM explosion

Hi All,

I have this scenario precisely. there is going to be same set of BOM at Production and SD area. Requirement is, while making sales transactions, system should not ask for the BOM selection (in case there are alternative BOM levels maintained) but should pick the one which has the highest BOM level (or which is made latest). does t code OS31 help here? and i read about 'Activating' a particular alternative BOM level but do not know where should i do it in CS02. please guide.

In BOM ---> Header (F6) --> BOM Usage..

Sandip, I am asking how can I give default highest BOM level to be exploded while making sales order? BOM usage will be '5' that I know.

Anybody has any idea on this? system takes the first BOM(or the lowest number) by default when creating sales order. anyway to know where this default is set?

Sandip, I already checked it. the default screen - BOM Status has a field called 'Saled BOM explosion' but it just decides if the BOM should be exploded or not in sales transaction. it does not say which alternative BOM will be exploded.
