Hi Friends,
In Case of Storage Location Rule I know that there are 3 MALA,RETA and MERA. I do understand that MALA rule is based on Shipping point+ Plant+ Storage Conditions.
1. In case of RETA it is Plant+ Situation + Storage Condition. I wanted to know what is Situation in this.
2. In case the rule is MERA - it is First MALA, then RETA ( Back Up Procedure) what does this mean.
Thanks and Regards,

hi,
we can apply any of these three rules for a delivery type:
1.MALA = standard rule you will apply basing on Shipping point+ Plant+ Storage Conditions.
2.RETA = Plant+ Situation + Storage Condition + delivering plant of delivery item.
for Eg: used in RETAIL PROCESSESS.
in a single storage location we can bifurcate two types of goods maintained one is promotional goods, the other normal goods.
3. MERA = first MALA will be considered for storage location determination if it does not satisfied your requriment then we will use RETA a back up procedure with the help of SAP enhancement V02V0002.
