Characterisitc Description Change

I want to change the Description of Characteristic from X to Y. Is there any Badi that can change the description without deactivating or guide me with the procedure to change the description

Hi,

can you check the SAP Notes:1423588 for renaming the char and classes both in ECC and in APO.

Nanda - Thanks for your info

But the characteristics i refer here is DP Characteristic. I want to change the description of existing one.

I need to know , If i change the characteristic description ( Short / Long) using the change mode through RSA1 will this have any impact on the Cube / planning book ?

No impact on Info Cube or Planning Book if you change description of DP Charectaristic
