Hi guys,

My Alert Inbox page and Alert Configuration page in RWB is not displayed , I am getting request timed out error.

I have created alert in ALRTCATDEF and tested it using RSALERTTEST. I have actived all the necessary SICF services required for creating Alerts , I have also reconfigured RWB using URL :

http://<J2EE-Host>:<HTTP-Port>/rwb/rtc?op=init

But problem is still there , do i missing any other configuaration steps required for Alert Management?

Regards,

Keith.

Hi Keith,

Try the following:

- You should give fully qualified host name for the xi server (parameter, icm/host_name_full). Also set the same in exchange profile parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost.

- Creating HTTP Destination pmistore in the Java Environment

from XI installation guide (config in visual admin)

- Check if services in transaction SICF for RWB - if they are activated

- on your XI box go to TCODE - SE38 and run program - RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES.

- check SAP note: 750287 (XI 3.0 Runtime Workbench: Alert configuration does not start) and change values in your ExchangeProfile.

- check if you can accept cookies.

Hope it helps......

Keith,

You get a session timed out error , if the Alert Inbox is full.

Try a restarting of the J2ee engine and check if it works.

Also, check Question 13 of Michal's FAQ.
