Integration CRM BP <-> SAP BP <-> SD

I'm setting up a new SAP system based on CRM7.0 and ECC60 Ehp4 with IS-M activated for M/SD. You would expect that in the latest release BP integration is seamingless however this is not the case.

Ideally I would create a person in CRM as (CRM) BP in the role of consumer (CRM006 and with bp classification = consumer) so we can just maintain the general data and use a reference customer to provide the sales area specific data and thereby provide the ability to create sales orders in CRM as well as in M/SD.

However in ECC the SAP BP does not seem to provide the functionality to work with a reference BP just like in CRM or as within standard SD (Account 0170) functionality. As a result of the standard CVI settings the SAP BP (only for ISM*** roles) is even not available in SD (tables KNA1, KNVV) and sales orders cannot be created in ECC. or replicated to ECC when the sales order is created in CRM. Should we add via a BADI or middleware the role ISM000 during the replicating the BP?

Another possbile solution,is to create a person in the role ISM000 directly however, due to the differentiation type of this role (3 = sales area), the role is not even available in standard CRM WebuiI. When doing so in the SAP GUI we also cannot create a BP in the role ISM000 directly as on the sales area data tab it tells you BP GUID is not existing.

Is there someone that can share some best practise experience on how to set-up the integration CRM BP <-> SAP BP <-> SAP M/SD when dealing with consumers:

Regards,

Erik

Hi,

We distribute business partner master data between SAP CRM and SAP ECC using CRM Middleware.

For more information about replicating business partner data, see Basic Settings for SAP CRM in the Solution Manager.

Distribution from SAP CRM to SAP ECC

How business partner master data from SAP CRM is distributed as customer master data to SAP ECC depends on the following:

● Classification

The following classifications specify the ERP account groups with which customer master records are created in SAP ECC from distributed business partner master data:

○ Consumer (company or individual)

○ Customer

○ Prospect

○ Competitor

● Number Assignment

Determines whether the respective account group has internal or external number assignment.

If number assignment is external, the customer master record is created in SAP ECC with the same number as the business partner master record in SAP CRM.

CRM Classification

ERP Account Group

Number Assignment

Customer

0001

Internal

Prospect

0005

External

■ Customer master records are created with the account group for customers and internal number assignment in the ERP system.

■ Master records for prospects are created with the account group for prospects and external number assignment in the ERP system.

■ If you have not assigned an account group for business partner master records, the data is not distributed.

Distribution of Customer Master Data from SAP ECC to SAP CRM

You can distribute customer master data from SAP ECC for use in SAP CRM. For each account group in SAP ECC, you specify the following for creating business partner master records in SAP CRM:

● Classification

Indicates how the business partner is used in SAP CRM.

● Grouping

Determines the number range. The entry in the grouping field determines whether and how an entry is made in the business partner number field.

If you use the grouping to set number assignment to external, the business partner master record is created in SAP CRM with the same number as the customer master record from SAP ECC.

Hi Erik,

Have you got a solution for this? I'm looking at a similar setup for IS-Automotive. It seems CVI is required, but that function is avaialble in FI-CA, and SAP prohibits us from turning 2 Industry Solutions in one instace. Seems odd to me.
