Cannot start the Wily Introscope Enterprise Manager Services

Dear all,

I have installed the Wily Introscope Enteprise on my SAP Solution Manager 7.01 (EHP1).

1. Plateform : Windows 2003

2. Version : SAPISEM02_0-10007433.SAR + SAPISMM02_0-10007429.SAR

Status 01 : Installation of Introscope_8.2.2.0

The installation terminates with errors. I get one error in Introscope_8.2.2.0_InstallLog.log :

Summary :

Installation : Successful with errors :

394 Sucesses

0 Warnings

1 NonFatalErrors

0 FatalErrors

I have found the step where we have this "error" :

m:\usr\sap\ccms\wilyintroscope\systempbd\errors.pbd.

But the step status = SUCCESSFULL !

Status 02 : Start the service - not possible - I get this error in EMService.log

JVM exited while loading the application.

Launching a JVM ...

java.lang.NoClassDeFoundError: org/tanukisoftware/wrapper/wrapperSimpleApp

Exception in thread "main".

There were 5 failed launches in a row, each latsting less than 300 seconds. Giving up.

There may be a configuration problem : please check the logs.

We have installed JAVA 1.4_2.

What is the last JAVA version supported by SAP on SAP Solution Manager ?

Any idea is very welcome.

Best regards

Dear all,

The correct answer was already in SDN under the following link :

I have read OSS Note 1273028 - and I have downloaded the zip file ServiceWrapper_822.

I have unzipped it and I have copied files ServiceWrapper32.dll and ServiceWrapper32.JAR

to M:\usr\sap\ccms\wilyintroscope\lib.

Best regards

Hello,

For WIley Introscope version 8.0+ Please see this installation guide.

https://websmp103.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700001995842008E

You want to be on JDK5

Excerpt:

SAP J2EE 7.10 and JDK5 specific

instrumentation, e.g. memory

allocation. Do not activate for Java

1.4!

This is likely your issue.

Regards,

Paul
