After Connecting to SAP solution Manager using GUI, we aren't authorized to use any transaction in the Sap Solution Manger Menu.

it always show this error message "You are not authorized to use transaction SMSY"Message no. S#077

Does your user have SM_SMSY_* or SM_SMSY_ALL assigned?

i want someone to check with me the installation steps for SAP solution manager

first we installed Databe SQL 2003

Second we Made setup for Sap solution 7.0 EHP1>Sap systems>MSSQL Server > Centeral system > Centeral System.

third we made Installation for Solution Manager Diagnostic

fouth we Configure SLD(System Landscape Directoy)

then we installed SAP GUI LOGin on a remote pc and started opening Solution Manager.

but after opening it always shows this meesgae " you are not Authorized to use transaction ....

please check if there is something missing in SAP solution Manager Instllation.

Your installation is fine, please do this for get the access for the smsy tcode

SAP SolMan -> Basic Settings -> SAP SolMan System -> Authorisation /Users -> perform the actions which specified there

please update your result.

and where can we find roles/authorizations ?

Hello Mazen,

You can find the Roles/Authorizations required in the SAP Solution Manager Security Guide.

SU53 is a transaction.

For instance, enter tranaction SMSY

Then enter /nSU53

If you have the authorizations to run the transaction, you will see a message

The last authorization check was successful

If you do not have the authorizatiosn you will see the messages

Authorization check failed

And also further details regarding the authorizations will be listed.

Hi,

For the user facing this problem, check the transaction code su53. It will mention which authorizations were missing for the last authorization check.

In addition check which roles/authorizations are assigned to the user in su01.
