what type of steps required for in DP Historical cleaning process and which tran
Dear Raghu
As I mentioned above , if we remove the old CVCs (Historical) which are not required all the transaction information will be get deleted automatically. In general I will put the following steps.
1 Check the current portfolio with T-code /SAPAPO/MC62 - Maintain Characteristic Values.
List all the incorrect CVCs and delete them with the help of same transaction.
2. Go to RSA1 , respective infoboject and delete the master data for these CVCs .
3. Remove the forecast files assigned for these CVCs.
4. /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST2 - Assign Forecast Profiles to a Selection
5. Remove the life cycle settings (If you are using) for these products.
/SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST1 - Lifecycle Planning
I think this should cover most of the steps.

What exactly mean DP historical cleaning. With Planning area initialization the new planning buckets get added and old planning buckets and respective data get deleted automatically.
If you want delete the old CVCs (Characteristic value combinations), please user t-code /SAPAPO/MC62 - Maintain Characteristic Values.
