Installation SAP NW7.02 Trial

Hi,

I am facing the problem during installation of NW7.02 Trial ABAP at step 16/24: Import ABAP

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Program 'Migration Monitor' exits with error code 2. For details see log file(s) import_monitor.java.log, import_monitor.log.). You can now:

Choose Retry to repeat the current step.

Choose View Log to get more information about the error.

Stop the option and continue with it later.

Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW702/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL/.

A problem occurs during execution the inquirer callback. SAPinst will switch back to the standard behaiviour.

The missing folders and files are there.

I made following and the installation was successfully:

1. I changed the location of the installation files into main folder C:\

2. I installed the JAVA RE 1.4.2 (I think the version 0.5)

3. I installed the Microsoft Loopback adapter

The missing folders and files are there

in the future make sure that the directories containing the files do not have spaces. Typical issue with Windows.

Yep... Got the same problem because I placed inst folder on the desktop... too bad

So I moved it to c:\ and tried again but nothing: sapinst was still searching files in the old location.

Running a new installation solved the problem - in fact what sapinst did till ABAP import phase is very well "recylced"

Export location provided is not correct , make sure files exist as per requirement.
