Product sequence coming wrong on resources

Hi,

I have one scenario like below.

Requirement----

---

I want sequence B to A

I have maintained set up cost between A to B as 99,999 and between B to A as 3000.

Mode cost for A is coming 2196 and mode cost for B is coming 12330 after calculation...

After taking optimization run the sequence is coming A to B which is wrong as i want B to A.

Kindly do the needful.

Hi Pradeeptha,

There are two thisgs you are talking about.

1. Product sequence

2. Mode priority

1. To achieve the product sequence the setup you have defined in the system is correct with that it should come.

2. If you wan tthe mode priority then you have to maintain mode priority in PPM/PDS & define mode cost in optimization profile and maintain the weights accordingly, with this you will be able to achieve the required result

If the sequence and mode priority has to be followed simaltiniously then both A & B products MR should have the primary resource as same and run the optimizer with the existing setup cost what you have defined in the system.
