codepage in TDSHL export

We have a sender and a receiver that are both nonunicode. We have no intention to convert to unicode.

So we leave the DataCodepage=blank in export_monitor_cmd.properties?

If not blank, what the the code for EN and DE?

Thanks!

In most cases there is No need to change the default value for Data code page.

Also see SAP Note 552464,Possible values: 4102, 4103, 1100

Could you tell us explicitly whether we can have DataCodepage=blank in our case(i.e. no conversion to unicode)?

Thanks and regards.

Thanks!!

However, this is from the guide called: Distribution Monitor (version 1.8.1)

Usersu2019 Guide

4.2 Setting code page information for System Copy of Non-Unicode systems without conversion to Unicode

The DM can also be used for system copies of Non-Unicode systems without conversion to Unicode. In this case it is mandatory to set the preparation mode options dataCodepage and dbCodepage. The value depends on the content of table TCPDB. If the table contains multiple entries or if it contains a single entry with an ambiguous blended code page, then both options need to be set to u2018MDMPu2019. Otherwise both options need to be set to the code page number listed in TCPDB.

My TCPDB has only one entry:1100.

Please help. Thanks!

TCPDB has only one entry:1100.

If you do not wnat to use MDMP then you can set both dbcodepage and datacodepage to 1100(default value).

No MDMP at all.

So dataCodepage=1100 is the SAME as dataCodepage=BLANK ?

Please confirm, thanks!
