HANA 1.0 Report, Queries, BO

Hello,

I have two questions regarding HANA 1.0.

1)

If I have reports or queries in an ERP system and besides that I install HANA 1.0. Will reports be executed in HANA 1.0 and then the result transferred back to the ERP system or do I just create from scratch in for example BO new queries which then will be exectued in HANA and the result is shown in BO.

2)

For defining queries for HANA, is BO as must or are there other possiblities?

Hi Alexander,

1) First data is replicated (copied in real-time) from EPR to HANA. Then you can use any supported user interface to report on the data (that's stored in HANA). At query runtime everything runs on HANA (no impact on ERP).

2) You can use various BusinessObject BI 4.0 tools and Microsoft Excel 2010 (MDX). Please see the release notes for details.
