Hi Andrea,

This file "SAPNTAUTH.SRVC" would reside on the ITS 6.20 Standalone Server in the services folder

o '..\SAP\ITS\6.20\<Instance>\services' folder (AGate Host)

What WAS version are you using?

Hi Andrea,

Ok - this makes more sense. You wont find a file SAPNTAUTH.SRVC in that case

sapntauth = PAS

This is not supported on Integrated ITS 6.40.

See note:

BC-FES-ITS 858138 External authentification: From PAS (6.20) to JAAS (7.00)

[#858138 External authentification: From PAS (6.20) to JAAS (7.00) |https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/858138]

Here is the relevant section in this note:

"

For ITS 6.20, the PAS-XGateway allowed you to incorporate external PAS

modules for authentication. With SAP Web Application Server 6.40 and

higher, the proprietary SAP PAS is no longer supported. Instead, a

manufacturer-independent standardized interface is provided with the

Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS). JAAS is supported

by the SAP J2EE Engine and can also be used to authenticate ABAP-based

services. Note that interface is completely independent of the ITS that

is integrated in SAP NetWeaver.
