I am bit confused about the SD document category for cancellation invoice type, which i am using for cancellation of service invoice.

Document category for all the invoice cancellation Is N except for the credit memo cancellation which of 'S'.
If it is service invoice or normal invoice, invoice cancellation is the same process (aeither VF11 Transaction or VF02 also).
Invoice cancellation document type is S1 and document category is N.
Document Category is N - Invoice cancellation type, If you can explain your issue then you can get responses from the forum.
