Regarding ECC foumula and variable consumption in PDS

Hi,

We are using CTM planning. The requirement for set up time calculation is as given below.

Set time = 10 min

Base qty = 20 units

Custom set up formula is defined in ECC worn center on pro rata basis w.r.t base quantity and set up time for remaining quantity is added.

e.g. if order quantity = 20 units , set up time should be = (20/20) * 10 = 10 mins (600 secs)

if order quantity is 25 units, set up time should be taken as 10 mins for 20 units + 10 mins for remaining 5 units, so total set up time for 25 units = 20 mins. (1200 secs)

similarly, if order quantity is 45 units then set up time will be [(40/20) * 10 + 10] = 30 mins. (1800 secs)

Now the issue is, in APO PDS, the time comes as a variable time per unit. For the above case ( set up time 10 mins and base qty 20), the variable time comes as,

10 / 20 = 0.5 mins i,e, 30 seconds/unit and after CTM planning run, for the above mentioned order quantities following time is calculated.

for 20 units : 20 * 30 = 600 secs (as per ECC formula it should be 600 secs)

for 25 units : 25 * 30 = 750 secs (1200 secs)

for 45 units : 45 * 30 = 1350 secs (1800 secs)

Please let me know if there is any way to handle this in APO so that the same time will get calculated in APO as per ECC formula.

Hi,

I donot think custom formula will be integrated with standarad CIF in APO.

You can check through some exit populate feild increment in PPM to satisfy the requirement.

You try to populate details as below

Base quantity 20

Variable duration- 10 min

increment for activity duration =10min

You can do testing through manually mentioning fields in PPM and then decide.

Its works as below

Upto 10min variable ducration(20 units)------ 10 mins

Upto 20 minsvariable duration (upto 40 untis)----20 mins

and so on.
