Error in Generating Work order from Purchase Order

Former Member

Hi All,

We are planning to use Work order collaboration in SNC.We did Work Order configuration and also performed Consistency check for Phase structure which resulted in no error.

After this configuration we are not able to see PO in SNC.When I went to SXMB_Moni Then I got eror "Error while generating work order number; work order creation aborted".

System is not generating any work orders for the Purchase Order.

Please let me know what other config we need to do to create Work Orders in SNC system.

Presently we are in

ECC-EHP0-Support pack17

SNC 5.0 Support pack 14

Thanks and Regards

Hi Raghavendra

I think you have not set the number range for work order. Go to the SNC web UI (Customer View) > Master Data > Number range for work order.

Here you set the number range for all by keeping supplier and customer field blank. Also make sure that you first set number range attributes (For REWO type) before setting the number range for work order.

This should solve your problem.

Thanks

Dear Pravin,

Thanks for your help

I did the below setting and now I am getting error "Combination of partners, locations and product doesn't exist"

Under Maintenance number range Interval Attributes setting I entered,

Interval Type: REWO

Customer Location: 8001

Ship from Location: 00000408618

Append/Replace=A

Under Work order number range interval

Customer: Blank

Supplier: Blank

Customer Location: 8001

Ship from Location: 00000408618

Interval From: 1000

Interval To: 99999

Please let me know what I have done is right or wrong.

I am not able to find anywhere the description of each field.

Make settings as per given below.

Number Range Attributes

Interval type: REWO

Append/Replace : R

Max Number Length : 10

item increment : 1

Work Order Number Range Intervals:

Interval from : 1

Interval to : 9999999999

*Dont put any customer, supplier or ship from/ship to location anywhere so that it will be applicable for all scenarios.

Thanks

Hi Pravin,

I did same settings as you said but still I get the same error "Combination of partners, locations and product doesn't exist

Is there any other master data settings we need to do for workorder setup?

Thanks and Regards

Hi Raghav

Please check the incoming RON or POERPRON xml for the product, locations and partners.

Make sure these are available in SNC system and assigned to active model

Also go to this trnx /N/SCA/MFGCFG and go to master data assingment on the left pane.

"Check the active field check box" for your customer supplier combination

Plz chk these settings again

The number ranges for work order is defined in SNC UI

- Navigate to SNC UI using transaction /SCA/ICH_C -> Master Data

-> Number Ranges -> Number Range Attributes

- Enter value "REWO" for the selection parameter Interval Type

and select the "Go" button.

- If there are any attributes defined for the interval type

"REWO" they are displayed.

- Verify if number range attribures are defined for partner,

location combination being used.

- If the number range attributes are not defined, define the

number range attributes by selecting "Insert" button.

- Once the number range attributes are defined the number range

intervals can be defined.

- From the menu navigate to "Work Order Number Range Intervals"

screen Master Data -> Number Ranges -> Work Order Number Range

Intervals.

- Verify if there are any number range intervals defined for

partner, location combination being used by entering "*" for

the selection parameter Customer and selecting the "Go"

button.

- If there are no number range intervals select the "Append"

button and define a number range interval for the work order

object.

- Select the "Save" button to save the changes.

Hi Vinod,

I did the setting as you said and it worked fine. After this configured I am getting error

"Validation check WO_PHASE_PIO_CONSISTENCY for validation profile WO01"

"Work order phase or phase input/output data is inconsistent"

I feel there is some problem with Phase structure.

When I do Consistency check system shows everything is fine.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Raghavendra,

I also got this same error but to resolve this error follow the following step:

Go to SPRO>Supply Network Collaboration>Basic Settings>Validation>Validation>Own Settings>Maintain Settings in Validation Profiles

Now maintained validation setting as:

Validation profile=WO01 , Validation check=WO_PHASE_PIO_CONSISTENCY and status=Inactive

save this above setting.

Now try to create work order this resolve your error.

Hi Raghav

Good to hear from you.

The error "Validation check WO_PHASE_PIO_CONSISTENCY for validation profile WO01" can be attributed to two reasons

1.Please define the parameters, codes for work order types, phase types properly in spro

spro-snc-work order----parameters/codes (plz refer the img help)

2. Make sure each phase in your phase structure, has input and output. (Primary Product well defined which phase it will yield)

If you want me to help in setting up, plz let me know your requirement in brief

Hi Nikhil and Vinod,

@Nikhil-- I will do this if I am not able to solve the issue.

@ Vinod

Our scenario is we outsourced our entire product to Supplier( we are monitoring all the components). Now we decided to monitor their factory location(WIP).Allready supplier is doing PO confirmation and ASN posting through SNC.We decided to use PO Work order collaboration scenario to do this.

This is the below example what I set for Phase structure.

We have 2 phases 1) Assembly 2) Inspection

There are two components "Comp1" and "Comp2"

Output is "ProductA"

I defined as follows

First I defined General settings for Work order Generation (characterstics)

Under Phase structure

I did not define anything under Parameter

Under Phases

1) Assembly Seq10 I defined sequence number ,Duration,Phase Type and Do not use components from subcontact order

For this phase I defined

Comp 1 and comp2 as Input and Product A as Output with Primary Product check box ticked.

I defined qty as 1 for all the above input and output

2)For Phase2 Inspection I defined

Product A as Input and same Product A as output with Primary Product check box ticked.

I did not define anything under component Assignment Rule.

under Master data assignment

I assigned my phase strucutre to characterstics

component assignment blank

MD used for WO - Phase structure

valid from and to

Active check box Ticked.

Please let me know what is wrong in this.

Hi Raghav

So you have two phases

in assembly

component A and component B goes as input (with quantity 1 each) and 1 output product A comes out(Primary Product chkbox ticked)

I didnt understand sequence number, plz define it as 1

Since you are using "Do not use components from subcontact order" the compponents are picked directly from your phase structure.

In Inspection Phase

Product A goes as input (Primary product chekbox ticked) and comes

as Prduct A as output(Primary product chekbox ticked)

Define the sequence number as 2

Wat did u define for this phase comp.from sc order field ???

Master Data Assingment is fine.

Also plz check the table /SCA/DM_WO_PHTY for its tbale contents (cntrlshiftf10) and verfiy the phase types stored properly

Plz let me know what errror ur facing now in sxi_monitor,slg1

Hi Vindod,

I changed the sequence number 1 and 2

In inspection phase

I ticked both input and output as Primary(Earlier I did it only for Output)

In the Inspection phase I defined comp.from sc order field

"Do not Use components from Suncontract order"

I checked the table and phase types are stored properly.

In both sxi_monitor,slg1 again I am getting same error

Validation check WO_PHASE_PIO_CONSISTENCY for validation profile WO01: error

Work order phase or phase input/output data is inconsistent.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Raghav

An error occurs in validation because the validation check "WO_PHASE_PIO_CONSISTENCY" which verifies for at least one input and output product in a phase There is an exception to this in couple of scenarios like the scenario "Use Product and

Co-products as Input and Out put" where the Main product/co-product of PO is automatically added as the input and output product of all the phases.

In your case

Assembly Phase sequence 1

COMPONENT A (1 QUAN) & COMPONENT B (1 QUAN) AS INPUT -

PRODUCT A (1 QUANT) PRIMARY PRODUCT TICKED

INSPECTION PHASE sequence 2

PRODUCT A (1 QUANT) PRIMARY PRODUCT TICKED----

PRODUCT A (1 QUANT) PRIMARY PRODUCT TICKED

Master data assigment

Phase structure: your phase structure

Comp Assign Rule : Blank

Master Data for Wo: use phase struture

Also Product A and componenetsA & B are available @ vendor location, assinged to active model 000 in product location

/n/sapapo/mat1 ??

Then i see no problem in defining the customizing

Problem could be with data storing tables, some where not maintained like i gave example of table , which can be debugged with help of abaper

Hi Vinod,

Finally the issue is resolved.

Issue is system is expecting Phase type 10 as Transport.I created this and it got resolved.

Please let me know if you know why this is necessary that to with only as10.

one more thing is whether we can directly feed the supplier order number in the system

Thanks a Lot for helping me in resolving this issue.

Hi,

10 as Transport is a mandatory setting that needs to be maintained in the spro settings... Becuase in system it has been hardcoded for transport phase as '10' and hence systems looks for that when the Work order is getting created.

Thanks,

Krishna
