TRANSPORTING MDM CONFIGURATIONS

Hi,

I'm new in MDM and have some clarifications:

1. I have created remote ports and configuration for automatic syndication to work which includes updated xml and mapping schema. Do I transport this or will configurations need to be recreated in the different environments?

2. If it will be transported how is it done? Is there a step by step procedure how transport is being conducted for configurations in MDM?

3. When is transport being used?

4. Is there a reference for errors that would be encountered during the transport and how it can be resolved.

Hi

Lets see the questions one by one.

This can be transported. We need to manually update the maps in MDM 7.1 after the transport. I am assuming you are using MDM 7.1

Transport is used for moving the configurations/changes done from one environment to another. It can be for any Bug fix, new development or enhancement.

You can transport Ports and Syndication maps.

We have been using CTS+, there should be some guide to handle MDM transports, please search for them in sdn or marketplace.
