OS/DB Migration Check Question

Hi,

I am planning an OS/DB Migration for a ECC 5 legacy production system that is now only used as a reference system. This system is currently on AIX/Oracle and will be moving to Windows/SQL and will just be as a reference system only. What I want to know is will we have to order a Migration Check as this isn't really a Productive system that needs moving?

So we could change the Client Role in scc4 to something other than production, i.e. Demo or Test and then do the migration that way?

The Migration Consultant is only needed to order the Migration Check so if this is not needed then any Basis person should be able to perform the migration.

If the system is not as production then there will not be any SAP migration check. BTW: OS/DB migration has to be done by migration certified consultant.
