contract catalog in error .

Contract is distributed to catalog.

However in the catalog it is being displayed as error and the error in SLG1 says 'It is not possible to retrieve the characteristics for catalog AI_44XXXXXXX' and the catalog update is terminated. please advice.

Sounds like there might be some issue with the DML layer of this catalog, make sure firstly that it is not locked in table /CCM/D_CTLG_REQ (No entry in the field req_sender)

If the catalog is not locked there or stuck in update status in table /CCM/D_UPD_STATE (status 03) then perhaps using the report /CCM/CLEANUP_DIS_PERSISTENCY may work. run this report to deleted completed and incomplete updates, if still no joy, it may be best to delete this contract catalog and make some change to the contract in SRM and resend to CCM, may be far asier than trying to recover it.
