Setup Sequencing

Hi All,

Is it possible to use material class 001 for setup sequencing in PPDS.

I want to CIF material and material class to APO; and using the same characteristics, characteristic value want to create the setup matrix.

Please suggest.

Yes it is - You can use the following class types:

○ 001 Material class for product classification

○ 300 Variant configuration

○ 400 Characteristics-dependent planning (CDP)

Thanks, Soren for the quick answer.

I am planning to use Schedule Sequence Heuristic with "schedule sequce" selected as setup group and setup key.

I have not assgnied setup group key in ECC to routing. (only have have assigned the setup group to the work center). Will this work

With Material class do I need to use setup group in the routing or just setup matrix will do.

I haved CIFed the class and Char from APO, created setup matirix using the same class and assgined the same to the resource.
