Automate Goods Issue during Outbound Delivery save routinue

Is anyone aware of configuration which would support automating the post goods issue from an outbound delivery - during the save routinue of delivery creation.

We want to reduce the number of steps our subcontracting vendors are required to perform. And our thought was to automate the PGI when they create the outbound delivery. (we need outbound delivery to facilitate billing - otherwise would have use MB1B or MB1A).

We currently utilize a batch job for transaction VL06G, but were curious if you can configure delivery types to automatically do this?

Our other option is a user exit in the delivery. But that is the last option.

Hello Jim,

I am not aware if we can do a PGI during delivery creation. Using VL06G looks like a right option of doing the auto PGI.

I did not understand your statement on the Subcons - are they creating O/B deliveries in their system ? If yes, how do you keep a track on the number ranges?
