Autoupgrade from 7.10 to 7.20

hello,

we are running an SAP Installation Server with 7.10 PL20. Is there a possibility to upgrade the existing Server to 7.20 and automaticly upgrade all the 7.10 Clients?

I would recommend building a new Install server 7.20, then uninstall and reinstall each client.

well, it seems i have found a way. Just follow this steps:

• delete the product "SAP GUI for Windows 7.10" in the SAP Installation Server Administration Tool

• click the button "Import Products" and choose a folder with SAP Gui 7.2 installation files

• select the product "SAP GUI for Windows 7.20" and install it to the server

• apply the latest patch for 7.20

• choose the installation package and click "change package content" --> you will see that the the 7.10 SAP GUI in the package has already been replaced by 7.20

• mark the package as updated and save it

• in case of activated Distribution Service the clients will begin to update themselves
