CUP user provisioning to systems with single sign on

Dear experts,

Thanks for your attention.

We will use CUP to provision roles to CRM(only PFCG role), EP and BW. Client have implemented single sign on for theses three systems.

Does CUP support the systems with Single Sign On?

Does CUP password self-service support Single Sign On?

Is there any documents about CUP user provisioning to systems with single sign on?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Tang,

it depends on how exactly SSO works in your environment.

If you're just assigning roles to existing users, it will work withou any issues.

If you want to create users from CUP it depends on the information that needs to be available in the user master for SSO to work. CUP will call the standard SAP BAPIs to create users.

Thanks.

But what I have found in how-to guide is about "Setting up Single Sign-On for SAP BusinessObjects AC 5.3"

It doesn't mention whether or how AC 5.3 support provisioning users to systems with SSO.

Hi,

You are confusing between 2 diferent things:

1) Provisioning users/roles to SSO bases SAP systems.

This always works. I have been using at most of my clients for past 2 years. There is a field called SNC in request form and you can customize it to be the same as SNC field in SAP

2) Integrating GRC with portal or other SSO systems

This is what "Setting up Single Sign-On for SAP BusinessObjects AC 5.3" talks about. This way users will be logged on to CUP automatically via SAP Enterprise Portal or other SSO systems.
