VBRK split criteria; vbrk-zukri, copy control

Dear All.

We're adjusting some of our copy control and using the field vbrk-zukri.

I notice that many of the requirements have a field zuk-modul. It's populated with the requirement number, 602, 604, 601, etc...

Is this needed? Or is it sample data? Could we take this field out?

If we can remove this field, it would save 3 charaters of space in the split criteria which could be used for something else.

Hi Devon,

I doubt whether these requirement numbers really impact the split criteria as of now. It cannot do the split as there is no field,which carries the reqmt nos.

However check with an ABAPer what these routines do in ZUKRI code. Also checksome values in VBRK-ZUKRI field. If the reqmt numbers are not updated, or if you are sure that these routines are not of any importance, you can delete them and use those places for some other fields.

I need feature to automatically terminate inactive download i.e if download speed becomes 0 for x number of seconds.

Not sure if you want to go down this rabbit hole though! It is all very disturbing, and to know that I was remotely involved with a company like this STILL makes me slightly nauseus.

So far, with the 602, 604, etc.. out - no issues.

The split seems to work fine.
