System copy error

Dear Experts ,

I am tring to do system refresh through Oracle backup restore process.

On target system. I have selected Homogenious system copy ( backup restore offline ).

after few step it ask for Migration export .

But I have selected Homogenious system copy ( backup restore offline ).

why it is asking for Migration export detail.

Is your Source system running on only ABAP or ABAP+JAVA stack.

Hi,

it is asking because you obviously try to copy a dual-stack system.

In addition to the DB backup you need to do a j2ee export of the Java-SDM Tree.

Start SAPINST on the source, do a java export only this will replace the java DVD for the systemcopy on the import.

This java export is exactly what it is asking for now.

You can go without j2ee export for ABAP Only systems.
