Hello,

You doesn't need to be a master in Java to start working in Java Web Dynpro. To start with you just need the OOPs basics. But basic Java concepts is bonus. But you should have a good understanding of Web Dybnpro architecture and why is it very special?

Refer these link for Web Dynpro basics.

Once you have understood the basic MVC architecture of Web Dynpro, you can start exploring it in bigger way.

For java basics, you could refer tutorials in SUN Developer Network.

Happy coding

Sudeep.

Hi. If you don't have a basic understanding of the java language, you will be limited to what you can do with webdynpro, even the most very basic tutorial contains the need for a couple lines of java. You can get thru it, but it would be a lot easier if you had some java knowledge. Here is another good resource.

Also, if you have good ABAP knowledge, you might want to go with Web Dynpro for ABAP.
