UDS 4 'Class not registered' error

Hello all,

There are main and redundancy WinCC servers. We installed SAP UDS 4.0 on a different server which is running on windows server 2003 with sp1.

On SAP UDS, after configuring OPC-DA(OPCServer.WinCC) and OPC-HDA(OPCServerHDA.WinCC) clients; they do not start and gives the following error in UDS log:

0x80040154 [Class not registered]

Did you install the prerequisite software described in note 1490051? Did you verify the dcom settings on the wincc servers?

Thanks for your reply,

We installed MII UDS 4.0.3.22. This UDS version does not include patch 5 and the mentioned prerequisites in the note 1490051.

We have also one OPC DA on the same server that UDS is installed. We are also getting this error for this local OPC. I installed MatrikonOPC explorer and listed all available OPC servers in the network remote and local. But Matrikon OPC also gave the same error for both remote and local servers as 'Class not registered'. Because local OPC has the same error, we think this problem is different than DCOM configurations. In MII UDS, we generated a test instance for Matrikon OPC simulation server, and it works fine in local.

What else may cause this problem?
