SRM & SUS in Classic scenario

Former Member

Hello SRM Gurus,

I would be great if you could give your overview for below my quires.

I have good idea of SRM with SUS for extended classic scenario. But how would be the communication between SRM and SUS in Classic scenario. Because the PO will be created in backend.

Now my question is in Classic scenario,

What is the use of SUS in classic scenario?

How the PO will be transfer to SUS system? Does the PO data from SRM or ECC?

What is the communication data between SRM and SUS?

Kindly provide me above information and also your thoughts.

Thanks.

Regards,

Magesh.

Hi Guys,

is there any experience deploying SUS in the classic-scenario and Plan-Driven Procurement? with a special extension as our customer. More below!

All in seperate Systems

SRM 7.0 EhP1

SUS 7.0 EhP1 (outside the firewall)

ECC6.0 EhP 5

The Process Chain is like the following:

NO use of SC at all. Only RFQ-processing in SRM

- Process starts in SRM with RFQ.

- RFQ is to be made available in SUS

- Bid to be processed by Supplier in SUS

- Bids to be compared by strategic purchaser in SUS

- convert Bid to PO in SRM

- replicate PO to ERP

- PO is sent to SUS

- Supplier to confirm readiness to deliver or change (date, quantity)

- Supplier confirms delivery of PO

- Supplier sends ASN

- Supplier sends Inbound Delivery

- Supplier creats GR

- Supplier creats Invoice (it is to be ERS)

My concern is how to model the issue of making RFQ created in SRM available in SUS using PI !!!

Thanks for hints and responses

Hi Magesh,

In classic scenario,

-- Shopping Cart will be created in SRM

-- Its corresponding PO will be created in ECC(MM)

-- Thus communication with SUS now takes place between ECC & SUS, hence it is equivalent to a MM-SUS scenario except that the source of data is the shopping cart created in SRM.

Thus POs created in MM will flow to SUS and from SUS you can send back POR,ASN and INV.

Let me know if you need any further help.

Hi Mahesh,

If you are using SRM7.0 & ECC EHP4 version with classic scenario then you can user configuration gudie "Plan-Driven Procurement with Supplier Integration: Configuration Guide" (Release SRM4.0).

But following keys points are to be noted for SRM7.0:

1. "PO" and "service entry confirmation" will be handled using XML messages.

2. To send PO's using XML messages to SUS from ECC activate the workflow in SWETYPV transaction by falging "Linkage activated" for object BUS2012(CHANGED & CREATED) for workflow ws3800008.

3. take the help of PI consulatant to enalbed the PI messages to send PO and Serivce confiramtion bewtween SUS and ECC.

Hi Magesh,

Sorry for the delayed response.

Kindly refer to config guides available on Service Marketplace. Broadly speaking the following activities need to be carried out for ECC-SUS Scenario

1. Define Log Systems, create RFC,HTTP connections between ECC, XI and SUS

2. Configure the XI scenario

3. Create ports, partner profile, distribution model on ECC side

4. Create reduced message type for vendor and assign it to class on ECC side.

5. On SUS side you need to create a Vendor Org structure and replicate all vendors from ECC to SUS

6. Transfer plants, company codes from ECC to SUS

7. Maintain number ranges for PO, POR, ASN, INV on SUS side.

8. Some SPRO specific settings on SUS side

9. Enable mail sending from SUS side.

All these activities will be explained in a step by step manner in the config guide.
