BRCONNECT - job fail due to old lock file

hi,

BRCONNECT job fails due to lock file already exists as below log. I normally delete the lock file and rerun the job.

Not sure, how the old lock file still exists, even though job has completed yesterday. This raise another question, what circumstances, the lock file would not go away, which process is responsible for the deletion of lock file.

Previous job seems to have failed or terminated half way. so delete the file at os level at /oracle/SID/sapcheck/.lock_chk.brc . It should be fine.

Normally lock will get deleted after succesfull completion of task.

But some times it will not get released even after the completion........Just delete the old lock file, recheck and rerun.

There is no such manual or proactive step to be performed to change the mechanism.
