Hi all
In our EP 7.0 SPS 06, when we execute the "Export to Excel" button to export the analysis report to excel, its normally very very slow.
But in Development server, it hangs for 1 min and then automatically the jlaunch process gets restarted.
Whereas in our production server, it hangs for more than an hour, not allowing any other users to login to the portal, even we can't see the index.html page. We have to manually restart SAP in our portal to become normal.
We want to enable the same feature like our Dev, like if the load in the jlaunch process is more it should not hang for a long time, it can better restart.
I checked the note 768727 - Process automatic restart functions in sapstart to enable the Restart_Program_xx = local <program name> <program arguments> parameter.
But we don't have this parameter in our development server, but it restarts automatically. Is there any other parameter settings I need to make for this auto restart?
Would appreciate it, if anyone help to resolve this issue.
Regards
Senthil
Does it generate any core dumps under /cluster/server<>/log?
Also check the memory setttings as mentioned in the note below

How large is the table you export? Can you try it with a very small table, only a few rows / columns?
Cheers Michael

You need to check first why your portal application is not stable? check the log file, restart is not an solution for your problem. You can't go like this with your production system.
