Posting in IM without WM view:

Hi,

WM is activated I want to make one posting (344 Transfer POsting) in IM which should not create any PCN in WM.

Is there any way out?

Please help me out on this as this is iurgent.

Hi

LX23 will omly make adjustments where your stocks do not balance

You can run it for Plant/Warehouse without checking the clear differences and just checl 'All material Data'

This will show you where there is a difference between IM and WM and then you can decide if you want to use this to 'Fix' ther differences

In a perfect world there wont be any differences!!

In your case hopefully only the one

Once this has been done having previously made a note of what your stock situation for this material should be you can subsequently make the adjustments to put the stock back to how it should be

You can use MB1A transaction to make the adjustments and then the movement type required for the status

The movement types are

551 write OFF unrestricted stock

552 Write ON unrestricted stock

553 write OFF quality stock - 'Q'

552 Write ON quality stock - 'Q'

551 write OFF Blocked stock - 'S'

552 Write ON Blocked stock - 'S'

You could use LX23 entering Plant and Warehouse number and selecting 'Clear differences' and this will balance IM and WM and then you can adjust the material and staus as required

LX23 would comprise for all materials in the Warehouse.

Just wanted to remove the blocked stock for that material alone.

Also I am not sure what would be effect after execution of LX23.

How could I adjust the status after execution of LX23.

I am not sure that it is clear what you are trying to do

Are you saying that when a specific user creates a Transfer posting in IM you do not want a PCN in WM but for some users you do because if you are I do not think that this is possible

As far as I can see you have two choices

1. Do not create PCN as described already or

2. Do not give users access to the Posting change Transaction

The problem is that the configuration we have already described is the trigger as to whether a PCN is created ot not and this is not at user level, If a user has the transaction then whatever is set in OMLR is what will happen

Hi ,

The issue here is :

1) One of the Material document in IM has been posted without updation in WM.When this was cancelled the WM view was trigerred and subsequent PCN & TO in WM.

2) There is diffference in Stock types between IM & WM as a reult of this . IM shows in unrestricted , WM "S" Blocked.

3) I wanted to get the stocks moved to blocked in IM only. Then do 344 and create PCN and clear the WM Block.

i have tried other alternatives but nothis seems to work.

PLease help me how to habdle this siutuation.

Hi

In Transaction OMLR there is a column for creating a posting change

Make sure that this is NOT checked and this should cure the issue

I meant if there is a way to restrict the WM Movement as the end user level instead of getting into SPRO.

I don't foresee any solution other than this one with SPRO. If u have something let us know..

Allocate points if this helps & set "RESOLVED " status to the query.

You may try De-referencing / Deleting the WM-IM movement type assignment OMLR ( UNCHECK the PCN column)& OMLJ respective 344 records.

This should restrict the creation of PCN in the WM side.
