How to start the sap on linux?

Dear Experts,

I have installed sap CRM7.0 with Maxdb on linux.

However, the SAP Management Console didn't appear on the server desktop,

so that I can not start sap by sapmmc.

How can I start the sap on linux by sapmmc,or,Is there any other way to start the sap ?

kindly help me to reslove the issue.

Hi,

Give the following command by login to your sidadm user from command line.

su -<SAPSIDADM># startsap all

In case you want to keep using the MMC, you can do this by entering the following URL: http://<hostname of CRM>:5<instance number>13

This is the MMC webinterface, so it can still be used on Linux..

SAPMMC is for windows based systems. On linux systems there is a script called startsap that you execute on the command line to start up the SAP system.
