What is the difference between
Write both internal and external temporary objects
and
Write internal and prepersistent external temporary objects?
Thanks for help.
Hi,
unfortunately your question was not clear to me but maybe you thought about temporary quantity assignments (TQA).
Detailled informations can be found in note 488725 about prepersistent TQA-s etc.

Hi Tibor,
when I press F1 in the field "TQA Type" for information, the following is displayed
Write both internal and external temporary objects
If you set this indicator, temporary objects are written which are
taken into account in both the internal and external processes.
Write internal and prepersistent external temporary objects
If you have set this indicator, temporary objects are written that
are taken into account in the internal process and prepersistent
objects (that is, which exist after the end of the LUW), which are
taken into account in the external process.
But I am not absolutely sure what the following part of the sentences mean:
... and external processes.
-> is a third party direct ship meant or another (non-SAP) system?
.... and prepersistent objects (that is, which exist after the end of the LUW), which are
taken into account in the external process.
-> same question; Which external process is meant?
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
To clarify your questions: internal temporary objects are also known as internal deltas, means that these are entry which are just handled in the current transaction (e.g. from VA02 or BOP) to "play" with the quantities. These quantities are just used in the transaction and are not visible to other transactions ! External temporary objects are the "normal" TQAs you know from transaction /SAPAPO/AC06. So by that, an external process is another "transaction" or user which might check the same material/location at the same time. SAP recommended settings is E !
Hope this helps.
regards,
Michael
