Configuration Editor

Hi guys,

In the SAP Library I have found the information that configuration editor should have the following areas:

- Navigation Region

- Preview

- Action Region

- Attibute View

- Message Region

In my system if I open the configuration editor over SE80->Component Configuration->Start Configurator I get something different:

I can see only 3 tabs:

- Propertiers

- Explicit Configuration

- Implicit Configuration

Can somebody explain me what did I wrong?

Hi,

You are opening a component configuration editor which is slightly different than configuration editor for Floorplan manager.

So select a configuration for FPM.

For example you could see APB_FPM package and select APB_FPM_DEMO sub package and choose webdynpro node.

Here you can see several examples.

thank you for your help.

I found the package as you mentioned: APB_FPM ->APB_FPM_DEMO->webdynpro node but I am still not able to open the FPM editor.

Here I can see:

- web dynpro components

- web dynpro applicat.

- component configurations

- application configurations

what should I choose? I have tried everything already

Please guide!

Hi ,

you can open application configurations or directly component configurations node.

to make sure i list down what i have done and let me which step is not working for you.

1. Open the configuration node

2.Double click FPM_CC_GAF_DEMO_GAF and you see right side pane, ''Start configurator''.

3.Internet explorer open, choose DISPLAY

4.Now you are inside the FPM configuration editor

I have already checked it , but I still get the same editor as before.

Maybe it I have old version on my system. Can it be?

hi,

yeah that can very well be the case. Floorplan manager is available only from 7.01 (NW 7.0 Eph-1).
