Hi Team,

Recently we have done system copy of our BI 7.01 system and applied latest SP on it.

Now our Java Engine is not getting start and gives error:

Check help topic "Start of UME Service Failed".

Technical details: CPIC-CALL: CMRCV on convId: 22669380

LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode

This is a typical issue after a system copy in case the user SAPJSP does not have same password in source and target system of a sytem copy.

Resolution is simple you have to logon to configtool and change password of SAPJSF (If that is used for communicating with UME).Make sure the user SAPJSP is unlocked.

P.S : You should also verify that SAPSR3DB password is also correctly maintained in configtool

Cheers !

>Start of UME service failed.

See above error, your user management service failed. Check your dispatcher and server node logs.

Hi,

Check if the user IDs like the J2EE* and JSF* are not locked.

If so unlock and then try starting up.

Thanks,

Sai
