Future of PI BPM

Hi Gurus,

I wonder what will happen to PI BPM in the future. As of 7.3 SAP is investing on the JAVA stack of PI. And I think now all adapters dont need ABAP anymore.

So, what will replace PI BPM? I think it will also transferred to the JAVA stack in time. But how?

Any ideas?

There will be an installing option for ABAP + Java also. If you use BPM in PI, then go for this.

Yes you are right,

But in the future, will it always stay the same? Will there always be a ABAP Stack just for BPM?

Hi,

I dont think so..future will be a single stack...

No clues from SAP how they are planning to replace BPM and WS-RM adpater and also the Alerting framework..

Need to see what is the SAP strategy for these things.. but one thing is clear i.e single stack..

Hi,

future will be a single stack only,

ccBPM replacing with SAP BPN , Monitoring>solution manager, alerting>solution manager .

solution manager tightly integrated with PI 7.3.

Option of both the stacks seem to stay for some time....you can refer to comment posted by William Li in his blog:
