Hello,

We are doing a CUUC, upgrading from 4.7 to ECC6 Ehp4 in one step along with a Unicode Conversion.

We will be using 51036889 BS 7 SR1 Upgrade Master

Upgrade Guide says "The upgrade GUI requires at least Java Virtual Machine (JVM) 1.5. On the host where the upgrade program is running, this JVM is provided by the SL Controller."

1. Which jdk I need to install. I am on HP UX 11.23. Is it SUN JDK 1.5? or a separate JDK for HP UX?

2. What about JCE files? If some one can give links, it would be useful

Hi,

normaly in all installations and upgrades I did it was writen in installation/upgrade guide that we need JDK 1.4.2_X.

Download the JCE policy zip file for your platform at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
