External processing through routing in APO

Hi all,

Can apo map the external processing through operation in routing?

We could CIF PDS but the PDS does not take into account the planned delivery time maintained in info record which is seen in operation details under ext. processing tab in ECC.

The steps for external processing in ECC are as under

Subcontracting Info record is created without reference to material,

This info record is added in the operation details under external processing tab.

production version is maintained and ciffed to APO.

PDS is seen in apo.

but during planning in APO it does not consider the plannd delivery time in info record.

Any step missing or its standard behaviour?

Thanks for your answer.

It was very helpful.

We were managing with planned delivery time kept as set up time in the routing with control key in the routing as ext. processing key.

Your support in giving the SAP note and description of method was really helpful.

Hi,

Scheduling of externally processed operation is supported in APO if scheduling is done through workcenter.

To do scheduling through workcenter follow following steps.

1. Check the checkbox schedule externap op in control key

2. Mention time such as setup or process( planned delivery time) for this operation.

3. CIF to APO.

If you donot want to schedule like this you may refer to sap note- 490769 whether it is applicable and meets the requirement.
