KPI data from BW

Do we create reports in BW to feed the KPI values to SuPM ?

If so should we create infocubes for different areas such as EHS with in sustainability area to access the KPI's from the portal?

Can you guys please give some idea on this.

Thanks

Dear Roo,

I do not understand your question fully. Well, for creating reports on the SuPM data and KPIs it is possible to create additional report using any BW tools on the SuPM multiprovider.

To get in the EHS data you can model additional KPIs is SuPM and set it for auto-collect from the EHS system by creating the required SAP query.

The Data which is collected in this way from EHS will available in the SuPM Multiprovider for reporting. In this case no additional modelling of any additional BW infoprovider is required.

Hi,

Do you have a process model, like a flow chart, of how data flows across different systems into SAP SuPM? Even a text description would be sufficient.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

SuPM automates data from other systems via Scripts. Scripts map data from BW Cubes, BW Queries, SAP Queries and Web Services to a specifc KPI. KPIs are assigned to organizations and given a data collection frequency based on the reporting framework (internal or external) it's assigned to. The configuration-based script (dropdowns) contains the credentials for a source system via a connection id, information about what data to pull from a query (for example) information about any filtering (exclusions). This functionality was borrowed from our Risk Management solution.

In the definitiion of a KPI (a base KPI in SuPM) the default method of data collection is specified. Either data is collected from a system or from people. If the default (central) data collection is from a system the user simply maps the script name from a dropdown to that KPI.

The data collection method for a KPI can be localized so that different organizations can pull data from different systems (or from different people) and it all rolls into one KPI.

There is a consulting tool that has all the soucre system information for 85% of the GRI-based quantitative KPIs we support which is available to our Ramp Up partners.

Does that help?

Cheers,

Chris
