SRM7.0 Workitem is not showing in Manager WorkOverview(UWL)

Hi Experts,

Work items are not showing in Manager->Work Overview->Task though it is available in SAP inbox for SRM 7.0.

Regarding UWL configuration i have done bellow things:

1. Created a system connector with SAP_SRM Alias

2. Registered it.

But the workitem is not showing in the Manager WorkOverview task tab.

One more thing, when i checked the system connection (SAP Web AS Connection) form System Landscape, i got error message saying...

6. The Web AS ping service https://saprst00.freescale.net:1443/sap/bc/ping was not pinged successfully. If the ping service is not activated on the Web AS, you can try to call the ping service manually.

7. An HTTP/S connection to https://saprst00.freescale.net:1443/webdynpro was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall

I think may be this is one of the reason why work item is not appearing in the manager tab.

Please guide me how can i solve above issues..

Hi,

Please check followings.

1. Document status in BBP_PD. Is it awaiting approval status?

2. Workflow status in BBP_PD. Is it in process status?

3. Copy the workflow ID in BBP_PD and paste it in SWI1. Check the approver. Is there correct approval user?

4. Check SAPGUI inbox. Is there workitem in SAPGUI inbox?

5. Go to NetWeaver Portal UWL. Is there any WebFlow connector error?

Hi Masa,

I have checked the SAP inbox with transaction SWI5, and for the particular user(with admin right) there is a Task TS10008126 with work item id 6407635.

Now when i checked in the transaction SWI1 with the above work item id it shows the below information..

ID: 6407635

Work item type: Dialog Step

Language: English

Work item text: Approve shopping cart of JUDY SYDIONGCO with value 1,000.00 USD

Creation date: 11/30/2010

Creation time: 13:12:52

Task: TS10008126

Task Text: Approval of shopping cart

Status: READY

Priority: 9 Lowest

Work flow id: 6407627

Agent: No Agent Available

Workflow: 6407629

Administrator:

Creator: FLOWITEM 0000064076290000000109000000

So from those information how can i check for correct approval.? as the workitem is available for the approver sap inbox(SWI5)........ and there is no Webflow connector error.

Masa as i said i am also getting connection test failure error.. so is thre any chance due to this work items are not showing ?

Hi,

Do you use Process-Controlled Workflow or Application-Controlled Workflow?

>Task: TS10008126

The task ID is very old one. If you use Process-Controlled Workflow, task id should be TS40007953.

>Agent: No Agent Available

This is the reason, why approver can not see workitem.

I think TS10008126 is not general task. Please check it in PFTC transaction.

Thanks for your quick reply..

As you said i checked in transaction PFTC and found the task TS10008126 under

Supplier Relation Manager->Enterprise Buyer->Workflow(SRM_EBP_WFL). It is a stander task that used for Approval of Shopping Cart.

But Agents are not set for this task, how can i set Agents for this task?

Is this the only reason why workitems are not showing or it is because of this TS10008126 task?

Do we need to use new task TS40007953?

Hi Masa,

I am new in this field, i am not sure how to check whether we are using PCW or ACW? and from where i can check "Define Process Levels"?

What about the Agents assignment, how can i set Agents for the task?

Hi Masa,

In IMG under SAP Supplier Relationship Management->SRM Server->Cross-Application Basic Settings->Business Workflow->Select Workflow Framework i found that we are using Application Controlled Workflow for all Business Objects(like BUS2121,BUS2200).

Now how can i proceed further..please help me.

Please go to PFTC transaction and open Standard task 10008126.

Additional Data -> Agent Assignment -> Maintain. Is it general task?

Yes it is a General Task.

From PFTC->Additional Data -> Agent Assignment -> Maintain it shows the below info...

Name: Approval of shopping cart

ID: TS 10008126

General or Background task: General Task

Hi Masa,

Transaction BBP_PD shows Document display(Procurement Framework), from here how can i found workflow template description?

If i search by Object type-BUS2121 and Changed By-XXXX its providing a list containing GUID/Description/Object_ID/Change_At/Changed _By.

From these how can i found workflow template?

Hi Masa,

Workflow template ID is WS14000133.

I found one interesting thing,in UWL Completed Tasks are showing property but New and in Progress Tasks are not showing.

Hi,

You use N-step BADI workflow in Application-Controlled Workflow.

>4. Check SAPGUI inbox. Is there workitem in SAPGUI inbox?

What is the check result?

If there is no workitem, root cause may be in your BADI code.

If there is a workitem and it is not visible in NetWeaver Portal UWL, root cause may be in UWL WebFlow connector setting.

Hi Masa,

Yes in SAP inbox (SWI5) i can see both "completed" and "to be completed" work items.

But in portal i can see only completed work items , New and in Progress work items are not showing.

What kind of configuration need for that.? Please help.

Hi,

Please login with approver user id and check SAPGUI inbox in SBWP.

How many workitems are in SBWP? If UWL WebFlow connector has issue, log is available in UWL.

Hi Masa,

Thanks for your help..

I made some changes in UWL configuration file, now work items are comming properly. The only issue now i am facing is the button on UWL( APPROVE, REJECT,DISPLAY), its showing in the UI like "com.sap.pct.srm.core.action.oldw.fl.approve";. "com.sap.pct.srm.core.action.oldw.fl.reject";.

Do you have any idea how to solve this issue,how these buttons can be shown as "APPROVE"/"REJECT".

You have more problems in your UWL XML config file for that task. Look as some that work, and change appropriately.

Hi Bharathi,

I couldn't recall it; as its long time back .!

I think first you have to identify the TASKID that is using by workflow.

After that you need to configure "com.sap.pct.srm.core"  and add your task id for the corresponding action  like below.

<ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.srm.TASKID" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="com.sap.pct.srm.core.view.tasks" defaultAction="com.sap.pct.srm.core.action.launchWD.oldwfl.inv.approve" executionMode="default">

      <ItemTypeCriteria externalType="TASKID" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>

      <Actions>

        <Action reference="com.sap.pct.srm.core.action.launchWD.oldwfl.inv.approve"/>

      </Actions>

    </ItemType>

Remove the "srm" from the ItemType name i.e. use uwl.task.webflow.TASKID  ; give it a try!

I am not aware of that.

But related task/objects should be listed with corresponding application type. Please check with ABAP/Workflow person.
