Item 000010 exists already; the entry will be ignored +va01+for BOM materia

Hi all,

I am creating an order with BOM material after inptting the BOM material and i press enter i get following errors please let me know what could be the reason for this.

1:Item 000010 exists already; the entry will be ignored(In an information window)

2:No item category available (Table T184 ZOR NORM ZKCL)-if i continue the information this error is shown

3:Structure explosion for item 000010 is not possible(if i press enter after the previous error.)

Please let me know what could be wrong either configuration or anything else.I debugged the code no enhancements are made in this flow and standard code is getting executed.

1) Check note 114722

2) Assign the item category to your sale order type in VOV4

3) Go to VOV7, select your item category and maintain the required data for "Structure Scope" and Application should be SD01

Hi Anjana Rao,

You need to check in Customization.

As you are using custom item categories, check the controls maintained in Customization

- Tx:VOV7 - item category should have Application -A & structure scope-SD01

-Tx:VOV4 - item category determination should be done - accordingly

-Tx:CS01- Main item should have BOM created with usage = 5

- Tx: MM02 - Main item - item category should be ERLA / NORM & Sub item NORM
