Regarding to creat control file

Dear all,

I am faceing problem to up oracle databse and getting error ORA01102: database could not mount.

sid is not match wid control file sid.

how can recover or create new controal file ?

Are you doing a DB clone?... you certainly missed quite a few steps then.

Dear ,

Now i have faceing new problem as per below:

SQL> shutdown normal;

ORA-24324: service handle not initialized

ORA-24323: value not allowed

ORA-01090: shutdown in progress - connection is not permitted

Dear All,

I have faceing new problem to mount database getting following error:

SQL> startup mount;

ORACLE instance started.

Total System Global Area 1358954496 bytes

Fixed Size 2028792 bytes

Variable Size 687868680 bytes

Database Buffers 654311424 bytes

Redo Buffers 14745600 bytes

ORA-01103: database name 'P01' in control file is not 'S01'

pls. guide me,

Can you explain your scenario?... are you doing a system refresh?, DB clone?...

How did you get into this problem?

No info, no answers... Read the "Rules of Engagement"

Dear Juan,

System refresh we transfer production data to sandbox all activiety e.g log shifting.

at laste we try to up databse (oracle ) it shwos msg. databse not mount.

pls. suggest me.

Seems to me that the refresh was not done properly.

What method did you use for the refresh?... seems to me that you didn't modify the controlfile properly.

You need to first create the control file to trace on you source system and then mondify the source SID to target SID in the trace file.

Then copy the trace file to target system and execute to create a control file.
