Custom attribute in SRM 5.0

Hi Gurus,

I need to create a custom attribute in SRM 5.0 , please help me for below doubts:

1. while creating the custom attribute in table T77OMATTR, system asks for the table and field name , so what should i populate there.

2. there is search help FM assigned to some standard attribute say BBP_ATTR_F4. It is a FM group which has several FMs assigned to it so when I am trying execute these FM individually they are not giving any result. My question is what is the significance of assigning this FM in table T77OMATTR .
